Last updated September 2026 · We collect the minimum needed to be your personal chef.
What we collect
- Account info — your name and email when you sign up.
- Saved recipes & shopping lists — dishes you save and ingredients you add, so they're ready next time you cook.
- Photos — only when you use "Cook from a photo." They're uploaded to generate a recipe and are not used to train any model.
- Usage data — basic, anonymous analytics (e.g. which features are used) to improve the app.
How AI uses your input
When you ask the chef a question, request a recipe, or identify a dish from a photo, your input is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We don't use your recipes, photos, or questions to train any model. Generated recipes are saved only if you choose to save them.
Storage & security
Your data is stored securely on the Base44 platform with row-level access controls — your saved recipes and shopping lists are visible only to you. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is scoped to your authenticated account.
Your rights
- Access — view everything you've saved anytime in the app.
- Delete — remove your saved recipes, shopping lists, or all your data at any time from Data Management.
- Control — you decide what to save. Nothing is stored unless you choose to.
Third parties
We use the Base44 platform for hosting and data storage, and an AI provider to generate recipes and answer cooking questions. These providers process data only to deliver the feature you requested. We do not sell your data.
